Bet types
Inside bets
-
Split bet is when placing your bet on any 2 neighbouring numbers. For example, you place your chip on 23 and any one of its neighbouring numbers. The payout for a split bet is 17:1
-
Street bet is a bet on a row of 3 numbers. Place a chip on the line at the bottom of one of the 12 rows to make a street bet. You can also make a Street bet on 0, 1, 2, or 0, 2, 3 by placing a chip on the intersecting corner of the 3 numbers. The payout for walking on the street is 11:1.
-
Corner bet covers 4 numbers. Chips should be placed on any intersecting corner of 4 numbers. The payout for such a bet is 8:1.
-
Line wager bet is similar to a Street, but it covers two streets at a time. To make such a bet, place a chip at the bottom of the line that separates the 2 rows. The payout is 5:1.
Outside bets
Outside bets are those bets that cover groups of numbers and are oftentimes considered "safe" bets because they cover more ground and increase your odds of winning. Keep in mind that the more numbers covered, the lower the payout and the higher your odds of winning. The bets that are considered as outside bets are:
-
Red / Black
-
Odd / Even
-
High / Low (1-18/ 19-36)
-
Columns
-
Dozens
All outside bets are 18-number bets and pay 1 to 1, except for Columns and Dozens, which are 12-number bets paying 2 to 1.
